Hi,
Popped in to see the progress on my FHC at the paint shop during the week. They were just assembling the bonnet panels after applying the paint to the inside surfaces. It was so good to see the colour finally going on - looked beautiful.
However, after leaving, I couldn't remember seeing any anti-stonechip in the bonnet wheelarches, but I may be wrong. I'm going back in on Monday morning to deliver the mudshields for painting so will check.
I'd be interested to hear what the opinions are of other owners about whether it is essential to have some form of anti-stonechip applied to the bonnet wheelarchesor not??
Feedback appreciated.
Cheers.

You definitely need something to prevent rocks thrown up by the tires from denting the sheet metal. I used one of the paintable undercoatings when I restored my '65 and had no problems.
