Noticed an E Type Series 1 In Gotham, where Penguin meets his 'Family'. For those who have not seen the series this is a very dark, violent production and certainly not for kids.

I've no idea how anyone can tell what it is. I presume it only appears in the first 7 or 8 seconds, and it is impossible to know what version it is from that, other than that it is not an S3. Maybe my eyesight is failing even more rapidly than I think it is

So.... you don't think the rear bumper is a bit of a giveaway then...?

Yup, first few seconds, but clearly a continuous bumper with normal rounded chrome overriders - ergo S2. I did have to rewind to confirm it was a 2+2 though.

Yes, It was only for a few seconds but i didn't miss that bad a** E-type.

Lazy observation on my part, at least I got the Jaguar bit right! I should have known it was a 2 + 2 as I own one, the chrome strip extending past the door is always a giveaway.

Oh yes, I see now. And ... I didn't spot it was a 2+2 either .... and,. I'd never noticed until prompted by this thread that the centre part of the bumper was a distinguishing feature . I don't think I'd be a very convincing witness as to identity !

At least you'd get the colour right. When I applied to join Merseyside Police in their first year of the Graduate Entry Scheme (1977?) during Kenneth Oxford's reign who hou'll remember. I almost failed on colour blindness. I only passed because my visual acuity was exceptional.

They were all over us like a rash, very keen to follow the Met's lead and fast-track suitable graduates, but in the end they bumped me because I admitted to occasional recreational drug use in my teens a few years previously. I was never sure if they bounced me for the LSD or for being naive and not bright enough to hide it!

Fast-forward 40 years and my colour vision is still rubbish but I can spot a Series 2 ar 100 yds in the gloom :-)

also the angle at which the exhaust exits is another sign.

So for all you eagle eyed fans what colour are you going for?...black?
