An idea??

Chaps, David particularly, as there is such a rich resource of expertise on this marvellous forum, what do we think about adding a "non Etype technical board"? I know it may be seen as diluting he wonderful E type input here, but I am sure, like me, most of us have other cars, and at time, there are conundrums we would like to share and have input on. I use other forums, but they are just not as good as this forum at technical expertise. Just a thought?

yes a thought, but not somewhere you would naturally go to to try your hand at solving others problems. Its probably a stupid idea of mine as it may detract from the purely E type theme, and I for one don't want that to happen. Perhaps, one non E type board would not matter that much, .. oh I don't know.

I agree with Steve on this.
I for one read through all threads so would pick up on it easily. I'm sure most members do the same and as time goes bye we will get used to looking within Pub Chat for non E Type car technical issues. I would keep it to Classic & Vintage vehicles though as modern stuff can get far too technical with computers being required for most diagnostic testing/fault finding.

The E-Type forum is actually (or technically) a collection of forums - so we have the S1 forum, S2 forum, Collectors Corner forum and so on. If you want another forum I can create one in seconds, I just need a name and it will appear on the home page. If you want it I can do it as long as it is sensible. Andrew - will you moderate it?
