Freeze plugs in the cylinder head? Could it be that easy?? :)



Also. I need some new water hoses and a thermostat housing. Are these readily avalable?
On the inlet, there is also a small take off with three holes. Temp sensor?

Yes, core plugs in the head, installed with epoxy preferably, since the casting has not been machined smooth for them.

The temp sender screws in after you remove the existing remains. The triangular plate is for an auxiliary carb Otter switch that works the opposite way to a fan Otter (i.e. Normally closed). The thermostat housing will need to be 3.8 E or saloon if it lines up with your header tank inlet.

The water holes were infact machined. Bought a couple of freeze plugs on EBay, et voila. Dead easy :)

I see you have opted for the Mangoletsi kit, curious to read your report once running as I am contemplating this upgrade for hopefully next spring.
