The 'E' Type Forum

We have this new request:

Yet in light of the recent Brexit vote and last year's Scottish Independence shouldn't there be a choice of:

1: A European Flag
2: St. George's Flag
3: The Saltire
4: Maybe even a White Flag

I have been making a few modifications to the Forum software to help with Administration and add further layers of defence against spammers. Two of the most frequent things people contact me about are 1) PM's not being responded to and 2) member's physical location to help suggest suppliers. I have therefore implemented a flashing red icon when you have messages and the opportunity to add a flag icon next to your name in all posts. This will be a requirement for all new members. I have also added a list of 'users in the last 24 hours' and 'newest members' which you will find at the bottom of the Home page. There are new icons for 'Announcements' and 'Stickies' within Forums as people seem to forget they are there and a new download icon for attachments.

If you don't want to add a localisation flag it is up to you but the feature also means if you click on a Country flag on the Home page you get a list of members, which could be useful if you need help when touring abroad. Otherwise please take the time to visit your User Control Panel to add a typed location and also put your model of E-Type in your signature.

Still no option for the flag of the Principality of Sealand. What does that place have to do to get official recognition!

You could add North Korea to that list

Korea North and South flags are available in the list.

Just added a new BBCode box for use when posting a reply. You can now highlight text, strike through text, add a 'spolier' (text or photo remains hidden until clicked on), add videos or sound bites plus a few other things. Run your mouse across the icons to see what they do. All the old favourites are still there:

I wouldn't mind but I have put my location as Dear Old Blighty, what more could you want?!
After all on my globe most countries are still coloured pink and some of those that aren't were once colonies and speak a sort of English

How come the Welsh get their own flag, but not England or Scotland?

As I said Geoff it is optional but open to abuse; you are one of the relatively few who include their location. Your browser should do the spell checking if you have it enabled. Here it is in Chrome. Settings>Advanced>Language and Input:
