Hi All,
Having been a long term British classic fan I think it's time I got myself the most beautiful of them all.
I intend to take a an E Type DHC with me when I move to Portugal next year, so would like a LHD series 1 or 2.
After trawling around I have seen vastly differing numbers for both, though I see that a left pegger is easier to come by.
I do like the look of the Series 1, but I heard that the Series 2 is a better drive?
Is it worth me sourcing a car from the US? Will that reduce the overall cost? How much is it to convert to Triple carbs if I buy a series 2 from the US?
After restoring a few cars in my past, I'd rather go for a straight car. I understand that nearly all cars will have had at least one or two restorations by now.
Thanks in advance, always best to ask the true enthusiasts, they've generally been there and done it.
Your knowledge is much appreciated.
If anyone can suggest a point of contact, that would also be appreciated.
