#1 EJAG Magazine question...

Post by cdaubs » Tue Aug 09, 2016 2:18 pm

Hello all,

Back in the late 70's I was attending college and driving my Dad's '64 XKE. I was studying photography and doing some experimenting. I took a photo of the Jag parked under a tree will lots of interesting light patterns on it. I used color slide film and then printed it on regular B&W photo paper. The result was a negative image. Pretty cool I thought.

A few years later, Dad had the car again and I mounted the print and sent it to him. At the time he was a subscriber to a specialty magazine called "EJAG". He submitted the photograph to them for review and it was subsequently published. So I am a published photographer! Anyway, I am trying to locate that issue of EJAG magazine. Anybody on here have a stock of back issues they would be willing to go through and try to locate this particular issue? I don't know what year or month it was published in. It would have had to be after 1978.

Here is the picture.

If located I would really like to purchase a copy of that issue.

Thanks!

Is it that the EJAG magazine was in the U.S. and most members here are "across the pond"? Surprised I've had NO responses.

Ejag was a great US magazine in the late 70's annd 80's but I think its been out of print for a long time.
I found two issues in my hoarder pile, Feb and Aug 1980. sorry to say your picture is not in either of those issues, but at least it narrows your search by 2 !! good luck with the hunt.

Thanks Bob.

I've reached out to other web sites and have contacted several sellers on eBay who, surprisingly enough, have agreed to check their issues for me. With any luck I'll find one.

The issue I was looking for has been located! March 1982

I am buying a couple copies now, but if anyone comes across any more let me know. I'll buy them.

Thanks all
