Hello all

I see a stack of PMs from people asking me to write back with help re the above. Ain't gonna happen - sorry. Not being snotty, well, no more than usual, but can't deal with them all. I think Gunnar is probably being paid by Nick from J-L funds. I'm just (or was) a lowly floor sweeper.Write to Gunnar or Nick for info. Or rather don't write - they are busy.

I've had lots of queries so here is my stock reply to all J-L enquiries:

I know nothing, repeat nothing, more than was stated in the threads before the system closed.

I assume (?) that computers and software take time to set up and test. I also assume that during those times the systems are often down.

I assume and believe we were told that the new system would be wiped and no usernames or passwords would carry over. Therefore everybody is locked out if they try old system usernames etc.

I assume, therefore, that when the system comes up everyone will be a newbie and need to open an account with new info of their choosing. (See below)

I finally assume that something will be operative before Gunnar goes back to work but that he has other things to do with his life in the meantime, as do I with my son and D-I-L visiting on tgeir way to a bew life in Brisbane.

I expect we will all see the new system working in the next week or two. Until then we shall all have to be patient. Meanwhile, life goes on.

The only bit of new info is that this morning I saw there is a link somewhere from Gunnar to a 'how to transition' guide for existing J-L members. I think it's in a reply to Ray Livingston. I haven't read it because I just signed on a day or two ago with new username and password and it seems to be working. I don't know my around the site yet.

Sorry. Didn't see there was already a thread about J-L. David can probably move this over, or as much as is still relevant. This thread should presumably close.
