Hi everybody,

Till now I have no drivers experience in E types. Is it useful to fit
an exterior mirror on the door or is it ok with interior mirror only ?
What's your experience ?

Wing mirrors are fairly essential in an OTS with the roof up although you can get away with them when the roof is down. I use the clip on mirrors which fix to the window quarter light frames: http://tinyurl.com/mfwyxm

I had a mirror mounted at the rear of the bonnet on my '65 and it was next to useless. My current '66 FHC has the door-mounted "Tex" mirror that was fitted to many U.S.-bound E-Types and this is a lot more effective, albeit a little on the ugly side. I've also seen mirrors fitted to the scuttle, but any water that finds its way past the gasket will end up inside the firewall bulkhead. I do like David's idea of the clip-on mirror--very neat and clean.
