Date of Manufacture

Could someone please tell me from the car number [US1S74599BW] can I find out the month of Manufacture? The car was first registered 10/73 e-type 2+2.

Did you checked on XKE Data ?
Just by comparing serial numbers close to your own, you should find a date.

Harry,

According to the XKE Date the 2+2 numbers range were:-

1E50001 - 1E50974 RHD (974 made)
1E75001 - 1E77644 LHD (2644 made)

Have you read your numbers correctly

Tony - those are 6 cylinder numbers. The V12 had a completely different set . The most likely build month for this car is January 1973
