Float level - Stromberg carb on S1.5

Hi everyone,
So I have some running problems with the car and am now checking the carbs, no air leaks and doesn't look like any fuel leaks (can't smell anything).

During the carb rebuild the parts and "instructions" stated the float level should be set to 11mm. Checking the Bentley book for the Strom's it says it should be 16.5mm +/- 0.5mm.

Will the "correct" float setting please stand up!

I‘ve never heard the 11mm in regard to E-Type Strombergs, 16-17 is the correct height.

Thank you Martin, I got the 11mm form the rebuild kit and got the 16.5 mm from the Jag book.......I'll reset to 16.5.
