#1 Mechanic recommendation in Toronto

Post by ronstop » Sun Aug 09, 2020 7:07 pm

Hi,

I've been helping my friend with her gorgeous 1967 FHC 4.2 for the past year. I've been rebuilding primarily classic chevy's for the past 40 years and although I love learning new cars, it's a bit tough for me time wise. I live in Kingston Ontario and her car is in Toronto and my hands are always full it seems.

I'd love to find a trusted/reputable mechanic in the Toronto area that knows these cars well so she can have them take care of the ongoing maintenance.

I'm absolutely shocked at the "work" done on it by the garage that's been "looking after it" in the past. I won't get into details here, but it's deplorable to me.

Also looking for a referral for a carb specialist in the Toronto area who can rebuild her set up for her. She's owned the car for about 20 years now. It sits indoors all winter and the carbs have never been attended to, even when the engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you :)
1967 FHC 4.2

Thank you Steve!
I have found a few on that forum to contact. I'd rather not post names until I've met them or at least talked to them, but they seem to be held in high regard.
