#1 Power graph and spec

Post by Craigwin1963 » Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:24 am

Just got the 3.8 back from the rolling road after a full carb set up and tune at D Vessey and co, very happy with how the car drives now.

Anyone else have any they want to share, I was disappointed at first expecting the claimed 265 hp figure until I was told it was BS......
Spec is,

Fully rebuilt 3.8 +40 Mahle pistons
Ballenced crank and flywheel
Triple Webber’s
Stainless manifolds and full system
123 distributor
Big alloy radiator and ken low fans

Looks good, nice smooth curve.

There’s a whole tread somewhere on here with various rolling road graphs.

What 123 do you have, and what ignition curve are you using?

Just the standard one (already fitted to the car when I bought it) it set on E we tried F but it prefers E and set at 8 deg . Car pulls like a train now.
