My car is a series 1.5 2+2 1968 and I have taken delivery of a new autosparks wiring loom for the car. The problem I have is that the loom is wired for a (and do forgive me if I am wrong) square DL3 wiper motor but the wiper motor I have on the car is the round bodied Lucas 15W jobby, with the 5 terminal push in connector.(Please see photos)
As is so often the case, the car and it's wiring was dismantled so long ago and so few photos were taken (it was all 35mm film back then and off to Boots to see what came back) that I have not a chance of remembering what went where. A lesson to us all in the digital age - take as many photos/videos as you can, cos your going to need them at some point. I'm learning the hard way sadly.
My question is: how can I ( if it is at all possible) make the wiper motor work, with what I have at my disposal? ie. connecting the wires from the six terminal toggle switch to the push on connector block. As you may all have noticed from my utterings, I am struggling a bit with the dark art of car electrics. So would greatly appreciate an answer layman's terms. I have spent hours, day's week's staring at series 1 &2 wiring diagrams trying to work it out but I am now having to throw in the towel. All help gratefully received.
