I’m sure SU (ie Burlen Fuel Systems) have their own which uses existing SU carbs. If memory serves, it comes in two varieties, one for standard engines, and another with chunkier injectors for tuned engines. And approx the same price.

Last mention of the Burlen SU conversion was in 2017 and no news since. Can't find it on their web site but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

Every time I like to do this, I NEVER GET A COMPLETE ANSWER.
To rich, to lean, no good at cold or breaks up at full throttle.
Anyone have a setup that works?

David, any experience of how much difference it would make to a standard 4.2 E?

Tom Barclay racing is doing it, they put the injectors in the inlet manifold.
There is a you tube video of it.
They will sell you just the bits you need or do it all.

Neal.

Not really, if you use a MegaSquirt Pro for the controller. It will build an initial map that's fairly close if you input accurate data and then it will tune itself as you drive it. You just need EGO, MAP, Eng Temp and crank speed sensors to make it all work.

Worked great on my SIII V12!

Classic Fuel Injection sell the complete kit using the MAXX ECU which seems to be the new standard over Megasquirt/Megajolt. It is pre programmed for the E-Type engine but of course you could take the car to any tuning shop with a rolling road and they can set it up for you.

Angus and I drove an EFI S1 4.2 that E-Type UK had done and we were both very impressed. Super smooth power delivery. That one used an Emerald ECU with XJ6 EFI.
