Good Evening
I am struggling to remove the flywheel on my Series 2.
All 10 bolts are out, but despite all efforts the flywheel will not budge. The dowels seem unusual as they are tapped 5/16 unf.
I am wondering if these are somehow restricting removal?
Appreciate any ideas

The dowels are tapped like that to facilitate removal.
Just be patient and use a lot of leverage and a heavy copper mallet.

Hi Steve,
Yes, decided to bite the bullet. Engine and gearbox out, solo with the help of my scissor lift. Gearbox going to Ken at Klassic trans for a rebuild. Suspect faulty clutch causing clutch drag. Oil leak from rear of engine looks like sump seal. Head now off to look at valve gear properly. The valves look very dry and I suspect a few are sticking, causing the long-standing tappety noise. I will know more when they are all out.
