#1 THROTTLE LINKAGE BOLTS

Post by Stevemorris » Wed Jul 08, 2026 3:23 pm

Hi all, I am replacing the throttle linkage bush, in the bracket on the bulkhead under the wiper motor. I am attempting to remove the bolts that hold said bracket to the bulkhead, and it appears there are nuts on the other side. Now from memory, these had captive nuts, can anyone confirm please?

Any other ideas to replace the bush easily? I was thinking to make a diagonal cut in the bush, and feed it in??

Thanks, Steve.

Try this thread, viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21767 , it also mentions the problems most cars have with varying tickover due to engine twist/movement.

They are captive in the bulkhead yes.
