Hello I am a newbie in France awaiting the delivery of an S1 from England. The garage in the UK are changing the headlamps to LHD and we have asked them to align them before delivering the car to France. Can anyone in France tell us the correct measurements for them to be correctly adjusted. Apparently the English MOT is rather more lax than the French CT (controle Technic) who measure each headlamp with a laser. Obviously I do not want to fail the CT because of headlight non alignement and also want to avoid having to remove the lens covers. So what I need is the height of the beam from the centre of the headlight together with the car's distance from the point of measurement.
Thank you

Hello Pom22
I would imagine that the easiest is to go to a ct center and ask the question as it is a general requirement on any type of cars.
where about in France are you ?
Kind regards
Gerald

I have already tried the CT centres and the can't help as they just use laser machines to check that they are within the parameters. Looks like we will just have to get the uk garage to set them best the can and we will go to the test centre in france without the lens fitted and with a screwdriver ! We are in Brittany.

Hi pom22,
I think the right settings in the workshop manual.
I had to adjust the lights for the Belgian CT too, but you have to recheck them with the glass covers on while you do it, as they change the angle.
