Hi all,
My car arrived yesterday Woo-hoo!!! It is solid and 95% rust free. I wont be driving in the rain or salted roads.
What should I do to rust proof her if anything?
Fresh Cali import rust protection.

Once you have checked the car out, and providing you dont intend to do any paintwork to the car,... is rustproof it using waxoyl or similar.
Sooner or later the car will get wet and the atmosphere in the UK anyway is enough to allow corrosion to start. Keeping the car in a heated or dehumidified garage would also be ideal.

i noticed on the CMC ex Scottish Motor Show 3.8 on show at the London Classic Show , that they had clearly drilled the closing panel on the sill to insert a probe to spray wax oil or Dinitrol or similar. You could see the rubber grommet. Generally carried out after paint because of the silicones that would be flying around during the process, which is what Ian is referring to above I imagine. Photos?

With the aid of a cheap E bay boroscope you can look inside the sills to make sure there is no structural rust and also confirm adequate coverage of the waxoyl that Ian and Andrew refer to. Gently heating the waxoyl or dinitrol up in the can before applying
will make it flow better into all the seams and cavities. Application with a compressor is probably better. As well as all the box sections etc try to get some in the wing to centre section flanges. Also be prepared for excess to drip out for a while.
I have a good dehumidifier and two oil filled radiator in the garage which helps maintain humidity below 50%.
