Hi I am just setting my valve clearances and I could do with some oversized valve shims around the 150" though I see standard they only go to 110". Do you know who would sell them or are they used in other vehicles in the sizes I require.
Any help greatly welcomed.
Many Thanks

I would like to know why the need, unless its a reprofiled cam surely something is amiss. Check VSE as they do cam reprofiling and I have had oversize shims from them in the past.

The racy profile will have been reground onto std cams then re treated. This results in a smaller base circle diameter for the cam hence the need for bigger shims.
This is a much cheaper option than the others. Rob Beere will have what you need!
Also means the tappet bucket is slightly less engaged in the guide, which if they are worn will increase top end noise.
If the valve tops have been ground in the past you could partly restore the situation with new valves.
What are to gapping them to btw?
