#1 Adjustable Reaction Plate

Post by bfeng » Fri May 14, 2010 8:15 pm

As I am going thru the front end on my 1967 E-type (series 1), I am very tempted to install an adjustable height reaction plate. Posts on jag-lovers indicate most people are very unhappy with this upgrade. However, I think the idea has a lot of merit and perhaps the dissatisfaction was with a particular vendors part.

Has anyone had experience with the adj. reaction plate Rob Beere sells?

Thanks,

P.S. I'll be in the UK driving my Sunbeam in July (most likely will attend Goodwood FOS). Any recommendations for UK Jaguar club events in the 1st and 2nd week of July?

My car has been fitted with Rob Beere's reaction plate for over 10 years and they work perfectly. Adjusting the ride height is a doddle although you have to ask yourself how often you need to do it. It does allow you to compensate for weakening springs and to get the whole car sitting correctly i.e. not nose up as many E-Type's seem to be.

Excellent David. Looks like I'll be bringing my larger parts suitcase.
If you need anything from the States, I'd be happy to bring it over for you (assuming it meets the baggage weight constraints)
