I agree Chris, it could have been handled with a bit more diplomacy but I also feel Rory's frustration.

It is very annoying when people simply refuse to accept that other people might actually know things that they don't know themselves. When you take the trouble to explain something that you know about only to have someone dismiss it out of hand with no rational argument is very frustrating.

Like others, I am not one to shout about my experience and qualifications and would never use them to brow beat someone into believing what I say. I face these sorts of problems every day in my working life and just have to demonstrate the facts and wait patiently while they finally come to see them.

The only problem is that I was actually correct in what I said - as borne out in one of the links which said almost the same thing word for word as I was saying. I don't really see what the difficulty is.
