Reference: JAGUAR E-Type Six-Cylinder Originality Guide, Haddock & Mueller, p-226, middle left photo.

"The round clutch reservoir had a pressurized steel cap with no markings. There have been reports of E-types fitted with similar caps, but with GIRLING markings. The GIRLING caps were used on a range of British cars at the same time as E-type production and were likely placed on E-types during repairs or restoration. The authors have never observed a car known to be original with a GIRLING clutch reservoir cap."

The GIRLING clutch reservoir cap in the following images is believed to be for an Austin-Healey 100.

I interpret "pressurized" as meaning sealed which is very doubtful.
The cap would be vented as the Girling cap in the picture is vented.

Perhaps the writer means with a sealing gasket?

Hello, a typo -- well-spotted.
Correction: "The round clutch reservoir had a pressed steel cap with no markings."

Had confirmation from SNGB, no improvement : the clutch bottle will still only work with their specific cap, complete with its no-air-bleed.

I didn't have the gall to ask if you still needed to make your own seal ...........
