I would pop the pedal box out & see what's going on in there - seems an odd place to stick. Or unhook the cables first to make sure? ;)

Hi Alex,

My setup had similar symptoms as you, but maybe not as severe. Anyway, my fix was to re-align the small clamps that connect to the return springs for each carb (the ones that drop down below each carb). I loosened each one and rotated them slightly so that they apply the most force when the throttles are closed. Mine had previously been clamped so that they apply ‘some’ return force across the whole range of movement, so that by the time the throttles were closed, the spring tension wasn’t that strong.

Sounds as though something is wron somewhere. It shouldn't need any effort to close the throttles. I spent some time fiddling with mine to get it right, and the action is a sheer delight. When I had assembled it, I would stand there operating the throttles by hand because it felt so nice ;)
