Instructional videos?

I posted a similar request on another forum.

I would very much like to know what kind of instructional video material is available on the market (DVDs) on the inner workings of the 3.8 E Type, or at least of the XK6 engine. For someone with my degree of ignorance, a combination of workshop manual and SNGB parts catalogue does not do it, because I want a tutorial type product, with lots of visual aid, of the "this thingy goes here and connects with this thingy and turns that thingy" variety.

There are such videos for specific modern models (there's one for a Mazda), and it may be too much to hope that there's something like that for the E Type of XK6 engine, but you guys might know what the closest kind of thing is to get for someone whose mechanical knowledge is limited, and E Type knowledge confined to lots of reading over the last 6 months or so.

If there are really good instructional books, but no videos, that would be a good second prize.

Any useful assistance would be strongly appreciated.

There is a very good and well illustrated book on overhauling the XK engines from Kelsey Publishing

It also has chapters on the IRS and on SU carburetters

The subject is really rather too complicated and lengthy for a successful video

Brilliant, I'll have a look. Ordered the Kelsey Book, downloaded a really interesting 2017 CMC restoration manual publshed in April 2017 (David Barzilay), and ordered a similar thing by Chris Rooke.
