#1 Heritage certificate ?

What is a heritage certificate in regard to an e-type , if someone is selling the car with one - check out the car for sale in the for sale section ?

Hi...whats your name....put it in as your signature........re Heritage..http://www.jaguarheritage.com/heritage-certificate it basically lists tne details of the car as it left the factory, engine number colour interior etc..you then need go check these against the car being sold as any of the details could have been changed, so it details how the car was and not how it is now......also if your intetested in the car for sale it will probably be best to contact them via the web site they list...and not wait for them to respond

As Steve says it just lists what info was available in Jaguar records about the car as it left the factory. It is no indication of title or legal ownership and is purely interesting historical info. For title etc you need to see the V5c and advisable to run things like HPI checks also. Data on the V5 may well be different as engines and gear boxes do change as does the colour....99.9% of the time for perfectly legitimate reasons...so if the car and/or V5 don't match the heritage certificate then worth digging a bit. If the car does not match the V5 then ask serious questions and get the digging fork out...or walk away....
