Fitting Hayward and Scott downpipes

To save me endless combinations and maybe scratching something, can anyone tell me the process for fitting the H and S exhaust headers and downpipes please? I had one go, got the front one in ok but not having any luck with the rear one even without the front one in place. Tell me I don't have to take off the heater box?

Never tried H&S, but long headers (if that's what you have) can be fed in from underneath and hooked onto the head studs. Then feed the second one and only thereafter start fitting nuts. I think I did it before the lower heat shield was fitted.

thank you Peter. I did in fact persevere and have got them in ok. Would not be possible from underneath with the torsion bars in place as far as I can see. I did the rear one first and had to manipulate the flexible into different planes before I could straighten it up and hook it on the studs. As you say I didnt tighten anything until it was all in place. A bit of a fiddle but its in
