No affiliation to the company, but I feel I must recommend the heat shield I have just bought for the servo on my 4.2. Its a stunning piece of machining and looks really good hanging on the engine frames. Beautifully manufactured it has a twin skin system which aids the heat dissipation in theory. Much pleased. Will report on the effect, but a lovely thing and should add to he overall performance of the new restoration.

Alty Ian bought one for his and I have to say I was really impressed with the quality of it and will probably buy one too.
Having seen Ian's, my only observation is that perhaps it could benefit from some form of heat reflective material between the two metal plates?
Maybe the gap on its own is enough to prevent heat transfer.

They seem to be keen to produce high quality and we'll engineered upgrades quite a few of which I have placed an order for.

Interesting point Simon, which occurred to me so I did ask Simon at Fosseway about it. My understanding is that it is efficient to reduce heat transfer. I will be interested to see in practice what happens to the heat. I am confident it will work well from what I was told.

You should've spoken to Forum Member Dave K. He makes these heat shields with polished aluminium front/heat retardant backing for £35. I bought mine from him a couple of years ago and it looks the part and much cheaper than the Fossway item.

I came across your post about the heat shield. Did you notice any improvement from it? I do suffer from slight braking stickiness when hot in traffic. i would appreciate your experiences

I have now sold that particular car but was very pleased with it. I am rebuilding a 4.2 Roadster currently and will probably buy another one. Nice quality item.

I have had one on my S2 for a couple of years now.

Absolutely delighted with it. No heat issues with servo and it looks superb.

I have many Fosseway items on my car. Pleased with them all.
