#1 Replace rear light reflector with light

Post by JD-JAG66 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 10:18 pm

Been searching myself silly in trying to find the post where the reflector in the rear light housing was replaced with a light. No luck. Can anybody provide a link please?

Cheers

Are you looking for the reversing light lens conversion that Marek supplies? If so you could try here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3359 or here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6798&start=10

Thanks for the quick reply.
I am looking to replace the 2 inch red reflector (spare part 9322) in the rear light housing with a (probably led) light.
I believe there is a post somewhere on the forum with a very nice picture showing this "led conversion", so was hoping that there would be some indication on where to get that light.
Cheers

Can't recall the topic but I have seen it done on race prepared e types at silverstone...i may be wrong but I think round led clusters are sold by companies that sell accessories for race cars.
It may be different in Italy but in the UK having a rear reflective surface on each side of a road vehicle is mandatory so removing them and replacing with an led would mean the car would not be road worthy and should fail the mot. Worth bearing in mind.
