New Dash lights
#1 New Dash lights
Was fed up with my normal dash lights; "dim" meant off, and bright was so dim you could hardly see any difference. I was wary of LED as I thought it might be a bit garish. Anyway, made the change and I'm really pleased. I can actually see all the panel and instruments at night! It's still green, and not overly bright and garish. At £54 for the set, seems a winner!

To be honest Steve, it was dead easy to do because I got Pitt Lane Garage to do it for me while it was being serviced! So I don't know the make, although I can find out - I'll check with the garage.
Meanwhile, here's a picture of them below; not ideal beacause it wasn't night, just dark in my garage

Look pretty good though I think!

Www.classiccarleds.co.uk do a wide range of bulbs. You will get what you need from them.

Headlights are only standard, but suprisingly "ok". Not eye melters, but driving up the A303 late at night they did a great job.

#8 Re: New Dash lights
I now have info on the dash lights I had fitted. Here is the reply from the garage:
"The bulb kit is from Gil Keane Better Car Lighting, there are others on the market but his are top quality
To fit them, it varies the original bulbs can become very tight in the threaded socket and you must take great care to gently remove them and then carefully screw the new ones in a bit then out then back in until fully home
It is easier with the dash top removed
The bulbs come in white green or ice blue depending on the year of the car"
Hope that helps! Although I'm not sure on the "varies" bit

#9 Re: New Dash lights
I used Better Car Lighting to u/g my Healey 3000 dash lights and their products and service are very good. Made a huge difference to the night time visibility of the dials. Will be using them again as part of my 3.8 resto.
