I turned my wipers on today, they went to vertical position and then stopped. My screen wash stopped at the same time, they share the same fuse, other things connected to the fuse work fine, I've checked the wiring at the fuse end, all looks good. I suspect this might be an earth issue, where should I be looking for the earthing point that these two connect to?

S2 wipers & screen wash

Hi Ian.....Earth from the washers goes back into the harness and into the bulkhead as im sure you have found, earth from the wipers comes off the wiper switch, so they are in the dash/bulkhead somewhere, sorry that dont help..... however apart from the common fuse,...possibly the wipers/ washers wires are crimped into the same connector, worth checking that its not the one connector on that fuse that dosent have a good contact....whilst in there just give the fuse blocks a light spray of WD.... All the best.. Steve.

Hi
On a S2 LHD the earth is usually to one of the bolts attaching the washer liquid bracket to the bulkhead. Afraid I don't know the arrangement on a RHD.

I checked the Earth by the washer bottle today, when I run a test lead from there to a known good Earth, the test light comes on, the wipers are turned off, something is certainly screwed up somewhere!
