#1 Heater motor wiring

Post by RobertGrieve » Fri Aug 25, 2017 7:08 pm

Hello folks.

Has anyone ever seen wiring like this on a heater motor? Seems to be the only one I've seen based on googling and researching.

The red and black seem to be connected after having tested with a multimeter. I'd imagine the other two relate to speed setting from the dash - but would be grateful for any advice

Apologies for the terrible photo, I will try and take a better one. There are 4 wires leaving the motor housing, 1 black, 1 yellow, 1 green and one red.

Someone's put new wires in it.

I'd try putting 12v across each coloured wire in turn with the negative connected to the black.

Thanks all. Mich - that post looks like it exactly matches my issue so should point me in the right direction, I guess I'm not the only one with slightly amended wiring!!
