#1 Bleeding Power Steering

My US Spec LHD has power steering, and I have just replaced the pump to rack pipe, due to the old one failing.
Does anyone know of the correct procedure for bleeding the PAS system.

I hope there isnt a fancy procedure. When I put mine back together I just filled it with fluid, started it up and turned the wheel back and forth to full lock a few times, re-checked the level and then started driving..
over the course of four or five years I dont think I have added more than a few ounces to top it off. It has never gone below the level mark in that time.

I've seen that done, too, almost seems to be a self-bleed system

Extract from S3 manual. Worked for me when I rebuilt my rack.

P.A.S. doesn't need bleeding. Might take a few turns to get the air out but it will sort itself out PDQ. By the way, I have a s/h powered rack plus pump & all the gear if anybody wants to make me an offer. It's in the UK right now but I can probably get it to Florida at some point later this year (I've carried pretty much a whole car in my checked luggage over the years!).
