Front Jacking point

Hi, I am repairing / fitting a new front floor to my series 1 2+2. I believe that the jacking point welds to the underside of the floor. Inside the car, is there a stiffener to take the loads into the bulkhead ?
Does anyone have a photo of the stiffener /toe board inside the car please?

Hello Steve,
Yes there is a support bracket bracket that ties the Floor, Foot Well Closing Panel and Side Panel of the Foot Well together and creates support as a Jacking Point. The following picture is of the part used in both the S3 OTS and the 2+2. As the OTS is built on the 2+2 platform, all the floor panel components are the same. Although there are differences in the Floor panels of the S3, compared with the S1/S2 2+2, they are still quite similar.



The S1/S2 2+2 uses a similar part as that shown above for the S3. The actual shape is the same, with the Hole Pattern for the attachment of the Lower, Outer Leg of the Engine Frame being different. In a pinch, if I don't have the actual part for the S1/S2 2+2 in stock and I have the S3 unit, the S3 part is reasonably easy to make into the S1/S2 part. In any regard, the above picture shows roughly what the part you require looks like.

The actual Jacking Point mounts to the underside of the floor, directly below this part. If you want a picture of the part installed, I can take a picture tomorrow.

Thanks Bill that explains a lot. I can see the difference between the drawings in the original parts book and the 2+2 parts book but no reference to this bracket.
Now I know what it looks like I can get on with cutting out the remains of the floor and repairing it.
