Hi All,
I have recently removed the fuel tank from My series 1 and would like to replace the fuel pump to tank screws with Stainless Steel.
Can someone advise me on what thread these slotted machine screws are.

Those screws should be 3/16" UNF X 1/2" long.
Personally, I wouldn't use stainless steel screws here because they may gall and then you'd never get them out without drilling. Not something you'd want to do around fuel.

Stainless screws won't gall with just a little bit of anti-seize paste.
I've replaced all corrosion prone fastener locations with high grade stainless and have never experienced galling, as I always use anti-seize. Stainless fasteners without anti-seize could indeed be gall-city.

As Steve says....use stainless steel or brass. I used stainless plus copper grease...no issues...they come out looking brand new...
