Hi Clive... are you referring to the original plastic vents on early E Types which are in three sections and very delicate? Def for 3.8 but not sure re 4.2's. If you Google demister vents etype, there are links to these early ones and the later ones in five sections. I am also in need of a set of early ones and investigating manufacture of them in much stronger carbon fibre. May be a while yet if at all, but let me know if you are interested.

In think perhaps you mean the dash top vents? If so yes. Usual suspects have them, really dreadful rough cast things. CMC Bridgnorth have them made from billet. Exorbitant price and nothing like originals. So Sort of to answer your question

Maybe Marek could make them out of plastic?

Hi, thank you for all your replies,it is the plastic demister vents I am after,in the parts book it lists BD23832 which is the whole dash top & demister vents. So Graham if you do make some I would be interested.
Kind Regards
Clive

A bit muddled here now. The dash vents that screw to the dash top are not plastic they are brass originally I think. Underneath these parts are plastic air funnels that feed from the corrugated pipes.

You can avoid the confusion by referring to them by the parts book name - "Bezel" - BD20632/BD20591/BD20592 which are metal diecast (x5) and fit over the "demister slots" in the screen rail fascia. Underneath there are the five "demister nozzles" (flattened, triangular, made of plastic) into which the "demister hoses" attach. Unfortunately the nozzles were never sold as separate parts hence no catalogue number as they were included in the "Screen Rail Fascia Assembly".
I was suggesting Marek could make the unobtainable plastic demister nozzles. He could also make the bezels in black plastic for those who are not worried about 100% originality.

the unobtainable plastic demister nozzles.
MC Wilkinson have at least some of them them now, David, including the flimsy early ones.

Clive... BD23832 is only the black vinyl/foam cover for the metal dash top and not a kit. Key the part number into Barratt's part search which will show it. If your car is 4.2, think you will need the set of 5 demister nozzles. Give Barratt's a call as they keep these in plastic.
My car is early 3.8 with the v flimsy set of three nozzles. I have my original set but they are damaged. Such ridiculously "weedy" things done on the cheap by Jaguar. They are v difficult to take off the metal dash top in one piece especially when it has rusted as mine was. Can only think the later 4.2 design rectified this. Hence my desire to have a better quality replacement. Makes me laugh when I read "built to original specification" for current repro 3.8 ones. you have to be joking when they are charging £250 a set. I know a chap who has done carbon fibre work for Red Bull Racing and Americas Cup yachts (name dropper

). IF IF IF he has time he said he would have a look at mine but that could be a while. So David ...if Marek can make something more substantial I for one could be interested.
