There are obvious external differences between the V12 and 6 cylinder 2+2 bodyshells - wheelarch flares etc - and of course external differences between the S1 and S2 shells.

But, are the subsurface panels the same - specifically, the rear section of the transmission tunnel area where it meets the rear bulkhead and morphs into the IRS housing area? I'm involved in a project where the fact that the 2+2 bodyshell differs from the SWB cars in that area has become an issue and although I have access to a V12 2+2 for comparison, I do not currently to a 6 cylinder version.

I've tried to research via part numbers but inconclusively. Can our esteemed pro restorers comment, perhaps?

Yes, thanks Steve. I’ll proceed on the basis they are different.

Cheers.
