Hi All , after my series 2 has been away most of the winter having its bodywork done I’m thinking of replacing the roof .
BAS International was recommended as a good quality supplier without being terribly expensive .
They do 2 types one is black mohair on beige mohair (interior) and the other is black on black .does anyone know which is more correct? Factory fit?
I guess the beige will so the marks but to be honest she will not see much rain if I can help it !

The inside was light-coloured I believe.

If you're interest in factory correctness, neither of what you have listed is correct. The material originally used with an S2 was a type of vinyl.

Thank you for your replies , I had heard they where vinyl but I think the mohair looks a bit classier , I think I agree with you Martin I think I prefer the light colour interior.

A Mercedes without Sonnenland material just doesn‘t seem right. Similar, knowing vinyl was original on the E-type, it‘s uncomfortable for me to see mohair on an E-type. One day my (wrong but cheap) black/black vinyl will have to go.
