Cam Cover repairs - Something to be proud of ??!

Am I reading this right ?

£275 to repair cracks and polish a pair of cam covers doesn't seem outrageous, but you would think the results might be more desirable than this mess, wouldn't you ?



ie grind and polish the repaired areas so they were invisible ? Polish out the scratches elsewhere ?

Plus another £200 if you don't supply parts to start with - equals £475 for a pair of scruffy and badly-repaired cam-covers ?

Nice work if you can get it, or am I being unrealistic ?

Why would someone from Bridgnorth Shropshire (UK) be advertising on French eBay?
I bought a pair of polished cam covers once on eBay.UK. They never showed up, and Paypal refunded my money. No explanation - nothing. Then I bought a pair of sound but scruffy covers in the States. Bought myself a polishing wheel and set to work. Came up very nicely and didn't take very long at all - started with a D/A sander with 220 grit & went from there.
