#1 Shelley jack stripdown

Post by stevenm » Mon Feb 26, 2018 10:27 pm

Well after eventually finding an original gusseted Shelley jack I have decided that I would like to strip it down and give it a freshen up with a coat of the correct shade of paint. I have removed the pin holding the square head on, removed the circlip to release the droop snoop housing but I cannot see how to remove the ratchet housing from the three screws? 🤔 it had to go on but try as I might I cannot see how it comes off.
Has anyone taken one of these jacks apart at all and if so could they please share the secret with me as if i had hair i would have pulled it all out by now. 😕

Thanks
Steve

Could you possibly post how you sorted it? a few photos of the strip down / reassembly for the site would also be welcome.
