#1 EBC Brakes

Post by Echezeaux » Sun Sep 20, 2009 5:57 am

Following the replacement of all front rubber brake hoses and cunnifer piping, I fitted a set of EBC GREEN STUFF brake pads for evaluation purpose, to see if I really needed a set of four pots calipers or not.

I must say that I didn't know the quality and age of the previous pads, that came with the car, except that they were adequate but very dusty !

My thought was that if I didn't feel confident enough, I would use them at the rear, and I would buy some ZEUS caliper.
Well !! I'm pleased to said that I'm impressed ! And I am about to order another set for the back. Bed in in still not finished but the difference is huge :D

I think EBC pads are a perfect upgrade for the original DUNLOP calipers.
I would like to know if anyone else did the same and what their feelings are about it.

Thierry

maybe I should have posted this topic in Upgrade instead of Technical ?

Hi Thierry,

My lightweight E copy is running on the road with EBC green stuff and you are right. I am using the MKIX calipers these pads are good for the road in the MK IX calipers. Its a different story on a track day they very soon fade. So for Track Days I switch to a Bob Green supplied pad which is Brilliant on the track. When cold though you have no brakes at all
Kind Regards John
