#1 Floor pan fittings

Post by kgb123 » Thu Mar 29, 2018 4:34 pm

Hi,

I called in to the body shop today to drop of some bits and pieces and gets eyes on for the first time since work commenced on the car

I've a couple of questions

What are these? I've assumed they are some kind of fitting into which a push in plastic fastner might secure carpets? Id noticed them when I took the car apart, but not given them much thought till asked what they were today.

Image

They are located around the existing floor pan, but on the floor pan I bought from Martin Robey they are not fitted.

Also I'm assuming (I seem to be doing a lot of assuming at the moment :?: ) the push on connector at the centre of this image is for securing carpets or trim. Do these and the other fittings shown above need to be refitted to the new floor pan?

I'll post some pics of the recent work done on the car in the restoration forum

Thanks Steve.
When it comes to doing the interior my plan was to instal KoolMat, then carpet/trim on top. I'm assuming (again) that I wouldn't need these fittings given that approach?
