#1 Exhaust manifold heat damaged the hood paint

Finally got the Swedish registration for my Belgian imported car and took my first long ride with her today, runs great and I enjoyed every minute until I parked her and saw that the paint on the hood/bonnet had been damaged just above the exhaust manifold, the paint has lifted from the metal and cracked when it cooled off.
Must say it's a big disappointment

The car has been repainted months ago and seems to me and others like they did a good work wit the painting.
When I put my hand where the paint cracked it was very hot, I could barely keep my hand there. before the paint cooled of it was really soft like a sticker.

The manifolds ceramic coating is almost intact but has cracks, should still keep some heat off.
Probably it is a bad paint job and the seller has to fix it(I hope) but has anyone else had the same problem?

Somehow I must repaint the damage and prevent it from happening again...
I have lots of thoughts around this but repaint the manifold with a modern ceramic coat is one of them. Put some kind of heat shield over the manifolds is another thought.
Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts around this heat problem?

That happens with tubular manifolds but if you are using cast manifolds I would suggest the paint is at fault.

Yes it's the original cast ones.

I have a similar problem around the bonnet vents on my V12. The cause on my car is the spray filler is not sufficiently heat resistant and eventually cracks. Only solution is to be move the spray filler and repaint!
