Has anyone here fitted a Clayton heater matrix and fan?

Several years ago now they demonstrated an air conditioning system they had developed for the classic Jaguar range. At the time I thought it well designed but was not in the market myself for air con.
Kind Regards John

I called them this very week!
I have an aftermarket aircon system in my FHC but it utilises an underslung evaporator on the passenger side. This would take the passengers knees off in the event of front and shunt, so Clayton's combined aircon/heater unit which replaces the existing heater box is of interest.
The guy who runs the classic car side of the business is called Phil and he spent ages with me on the phone. Give him a call and I'm sure you'll get all your questions answered.

Yes...I had been speaking to Phil.
I only wanted to upgrade the motor and fan.
He will be at the Classic car show so will pick it up from there.

Hello Viper,
Did you go this route/what do you think?
My fan whines like some sort of old cat.
Best.

I bought the fan and motor and fitted it way back but I haven't used the car so I'm not the person to ask.
Sorry

regarding heater box's - should there be a cover on the long oval hole in the bottom front of the air box? It doesn't appear to have ever had a cover but half the air from the heater fan blows out through the hole before it gets to the matrix?
Thanks, Bert

Bert : there should be an internal flap which is operated by the lever on the side of the heater box to which the Bowden cable mounts. With the flap in the horizontal position it seals off the oval hole
