The 3 pronged thing is a spring clip that holds the circular bush in place. In removing the shaft you've pulled the bush out through the clip.
My advice should be tempered by the fact that I broke the only one of these I played with.
You may be able to lever the clip out of the hole it sits in. If so then gently ease it past the bush onto the shaft and replace the shaft and push the clip back into place in the casting. Alternatively you could try to push the bush back between the 3 fingers of the clip but I think this is how I broke mine.
