Where to get the indicator bolts ?
#1 Where to get the indicator bolts ?
...I just found that SNG does not sell the front indicator screws (it seems ?)
I think there are 2 long ones, keeping both glass and case clamped to the chassis.
And I also need the short ones, for the side light lenses.
Anyone a source ? I found two long ones, slotted cylindrical head, a bit rusty, in the loose bolts box - and thats all what I have. When I bought the car the nose was naked, all parts came in boxes...

#2 Re: Where to get the indicator bolts ?
Hi Carsten,
The lens is held on separately to the casting.
There are three set screws holding on the indicator light casting. I am not near my notes, but I think they are 3/16" x 32 (10x32) UNF. I just bought stainless steel ones on line, I think they were 1" (25mm) long.
The lens is held on by two more set screws, from memory the same size, but all different lengths.
I'm pretty sure the lens screws are available from SNG.

I used stainless ones as well bought 2" ones and cut to length. You can't see them.paulsco wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 1:09 pmHi Carsten,

The special chromed screws for the lenses are sold by all the suppliers.

I have always found what I need at the local, well stocked hardware store. It should not be a tough item to get your hands on.

Yeah, but this is metric wonderland, so my local hardware store...would tell me to fahgeddaboutit.
I‘ll try to find them online in england, and by the lens bolts from the suppliers.

They arrived today, and they do fit nicely. I got slotted lens-shaped bolts. The bolt vanishes into the dished area in the indicator housing, you need three per side.
No need to cut them, there is plenty of room behind the indicators. I got them in 1“ length.
