I could do with some help with my S1 offside door latch. On opening the door from fully shut, the lock cylinder button went in but did not Spring out as it should. It will pull out but not Spring back as it should. Now the door will only partially shut (on the first tooth of the latch cog) and not stay fully shut. Tried adjusting b post plate but makes no difference.
Have removed the latch but not sure what to look for. Can't see any obvious adjustment. Any knowledge here would be great!

sounds like the spring inside the casing. either the spring has broken or has snagged. Further careful dismantling will show what is wrong.
