#1 Diaphragm panels (front) bolts ? Front lamp bulbs...
Posted: Sun Jan 27, 2019 7:38 pm
Today I tried to fit the front right diaphragm panels. All fine, with the lamp already fitted. This worked so far- until I found that the outer bolts are machine threaded as we say- they need the oval washers plus a nut on there end.
The inner screws on this panel are all „sharp“, and need a philips screwdriver. They are easy to fit.
On the lower two outer ones I am fine. But the two outer upper ones are real swines it seems. You have to reach through the lamp aperture, and put the bolt through the holes, or even worse, put nuts on a stud after that has been put through from behind.
OR.... I can try it without the lamp fitted. That may make it easier. BUT - how to fit the lamp, afterwards ? I am pretty sure it would be very hard to tighten up the upper of the three chrome ring trim screws which clamp down the lamp...
Suggestions ? Factory procedured ?
Oh and this is the only way to change a front light bulb ?
