Hi, Gtjoey here, Im rebuilding my 1967 Fixed head coupe.
Like my others Im into efficiency and upgrades for safe and long travels...
I average 6,000 miles per year in My ETYPES so Im having fun!!!!!
My last redo I had a DAYTON 12VOLT PM 2M197 motor or in English a permenant magnet motor.
IT DREW LESS THAN HALF THE ENERGY and was twice as smooth and efficient.
Are any repros from SNG/XKS THE SAME OR THEY OLD FASHION WITH WINDINGS?
Sorry hit the caps button.
Thanks in advance.
The LED lights are a miracle worker!

Many of us have had success with the Fiero fan upgrade, further improved with the Clayton adjustable vents and curved deflector. Have a read here:

The Fiero fan is readily available in the US and draws half the current of the stock motor, just make sure you get the correct orientation blower wheel. I measured the air flow after conversion at about 40 mph and about the only downside is the air flow can overwhelm the heater matrix. The Clayton vents are a huge improvement to comfort as you can direct the air in any direction and they will even allow you to point it at your chest area. The curved deflector overcomes the right angle of the original duct further speeding up the air.

Feel free to ask any questions.
