s1 4.2 dipstick tube
#1 s1 4.2 dipstick tube
Hi I am just about ready to fill the bone dry engine with oil .This engine is unknown to me and it at the moment does not have a dipstick tube. when I ordered one I got a short screw in piece about 2 inch long. Should I fit this then fill with correct amount of oil and mark the height on the dipstick ? Thanks again with my many queries . Bryan

When I was doing my engine, the tube was flush with the top of the block.
I assumed that it had been broken off and ordered a new one from SNG. When I received it I was surprised that it was just the same as the one I had pressed out.
No threads on it, it just presses in flush with the block.
